- 3. Verification
On receipt of your registration certificate send this through to the Administration Team. A verification audit will be then scheduled as required.
Our verifiers will check a range of topics depending on what your business is doing and what plan or programme you are operating. Primarily we will be checking that you are following good food safety practices and to make sure your food business is selling safe food.
The verification audit will be carried out by one of our experienced Verification Team. The verifier will check to make sure you are following good food safety practices and keeping records. For example, the focus will not be on your kitchen looking a certain way, but on making sure you are doing the most important things to keep food safe.
We will issue an electronic report within 5 working days. Upon addressing any corrective actions, a certificate of audit will be provided on payment of your invoice.
After your initial verification, how often you are verified depends on your audit outcome and the type of plan or programme you operate. This is determined by how well you manage food safety.
The optimal verification frequency is based on your registration type and achieving an acceptable audit outcome. If an unacceptable outcome is raised at the audit, then your audit frequency will be affected, and you will need to undergo audits at an increased interval until an acceptable outcome can be achieved.
